WPI East Residence Hall
As Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) for Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Cardinal managed the design and construction of the 232 bed (105,000 sq-ft) East Residence Hall on WPI’s campus. The first floor of the new student residences house public programmatic spaces such as an exercise room, music rooms and project rooms. The upper four floors of this facility accommodate various residential unit types. Built under the LEED certification program and later receiving LEED Gold Level certification, Cardinal also received “Building Project of the Year Award” as OPM for this project from the Construction Management Association of America.
Merrimack County House of Correction
Cardinal Construction assisted in the construction of a new 110,000 sq-ft, 237 bed design-build detention facility, including booking areas, training areas, public access, recreation housing, and an integrated security system and control room.
The Loomis Communities
Cardinal Construction assisted in the construction of 70 independent living units of senior housing offering both independent living and assisted living.
