Cardinal Saves Client Over $40,000
On a recent recreational project in the schematic design phase, our whirlpool design was exceeding original estimates. It was designed as a “whirlpool room” within a small addition off the building for visibility from the two existing pools and lifeguard stations. After much review, a Cardinal team member suggested a redesign option of relocating the existing aquatics office to another available oversized storage location directly off of the pool deck. This allowed us to gain valuable deck space to incorporate the whirlpool within the existing building which eliminated the need for new exterior envelope costs and dedicated building systems for the whirlpool. Overall savings exceeded $40,000.
