Medical Office Building
Cardinal constructed a medical office building in Sutton, MA to house physician’s offices for UMass Internal Medicine. The project consisted of a new 9,000 sq-ft building and renovations to nearly 3,000 sq-ft of existing office space. The medical building is designed to house five internal medicine physicians with ten exam rooms, laboratory, file/record storage, break rooms, reception area, and four corridor workstations for nurses.
Gordon Library
Cardinal provided construction management services to renovate the 25,000 sq-ft Gordon Library located at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). This was a three-phase renovation project being performed while the library was fully functional and occupied by end users. First phase included the build-out of WPI archives and Preservation Room on the ground floor. Portions of the third level were then renovated as a Library Administration Level in Phase 2 of the project. The third phase consisted of entry-level renovations including a new Help Desk, printing and copy area, study rooms, Computer Services and a new Café. Cardinal monitored the schedule and logistics of this project to ensure the timely completion of each phase in succession and to ensure that all phasing coincides with WPI’s semesters to allow for occupancy requirements of the institute.
